Questions about selling a script

I know most here are DIY film makers, but I'm curious. Has anyone here ever sold, or been involved in the process of selling, a script? Feature, Short, TV, whatever. If so, did the project ever get made? Where you otherwise involved? I'm just curious about these things and would love if some of you shared your experiences, thanks.

Yeah I had a short film script selected by a British Film Council body to go into to production. ???

I get paid as writer- but I'll be on set to so that I can learn from professionals. It goes into production this month and will do what most shorts do; the festival circuit.

what's it about??

It's a 5-minute stinger about a guy who works for a company who cold-call people by telephone trying to sell them mobile phones. The main character phones a guy who used to work as a door to door salesman, who sees himself as superior; and he's gonna prove it. It's a straight forward set-up of old Vs. new and modernity Vs. tradition- which hopefully will work on screen in the short space of time.

Maybe's you'll be able to watch it by around xmas.
